By using repetitive and varied textures in ceramic along with a cast plaster hand, the two aspects of my piece–the rabbit body and the hand–are intentionally realistic alone. However, together, they create an almost dreamlike and uncanny creature that can be viewed and understood through the physical sculpture as well as through shadow it casts against a light background." |
